Welcome to the Data Snax Datathon, organized by Data Snax, a data science group at the University of Health Science and Pharmacy in St. Louis. By participating in this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions. 

  1. Acceptance of Final Results 
    Participants acknowledge and agree that all final decisions regarding competition results will be made by the designated panel of jurors. These decisions are final and not subject to dispute or appeal. 

  1. Fair Play and Ethics 
    Participants must conduct themselves with integrity, honesty, and fairness. Any form of plagiarism, cheating, or unethical data practices will result in immediate disqualification from the competition. Additionally, the use of ChatGPT or any other Generative AI tools is strictly prohibited. Any participant found using such tools will be disqualified. 

  1. Liability Waiver 
    Participants understand that the organizers, including Data Snax and the University of Health Science and Pharmacy in St. Louis, are not responsible for any claims, disputes, or losses incurred during or as a result of participating in the Datathon. Participants also acknowledge that their participation is entirely voluntary and that they may choose to withdraw from the competition at any time without incurring any penalties. 

  1. Data Non-Disclosure Agreement 
    Participants agree that all datasets provided for the competition are confidential. They must not be copied, shared, or distributed in any form. Any unauthorized use or sharing of the dataset will result in disqualification and potential legal action. 

  1. Laptop Borrowing Policy 
    Participants who borrow a laptop for the competition agree to return it in the same condition as it was received. If a borrowed laptop is damaged, lost, or rendered unusable due to misuse, the participant is responsible for the repair or replacement of the device. 

  1. Parental or Guardian Consent for Minors 
    Participants who are minors (under 18 years of age) must have this agreement signed by a parent or legal guardian. By signing below, the parent or guardian acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement on behalf of the minor participant. 

  1. Reuse of Participant Solutions 
    By participating, the participant agrees that their solutions may be reused in whole or in part for future research, projects, demonstrations, or artistic applications. The participant grants permission to adapt, modify, or incorporate their contributions into other works without additional consent or acknowledgment. 

  1. Media Release 
    By participating in this event, you grant permission to the event organizers to capture and use photographs, videos, or other media of you for promotional and educational purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, and marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the event organizers in advance. 

  1. Agreement Acknowledgment 
    By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to comply with the terms of this agreement.
